Melanie joined Corporate Coverage in 1998 to focus on the employee benefits needs of small businesses, start-up ventures and growing companies, all in a wide range of industries. Prior to joining Corporate Coverage, Melanie worked for CareFirst for over a decade. Her experience at CareFirst enables an informed and unique perspective as an insurance broker who understands the dynamics of carriers. And as a 30-year business owner, Melanie also understands the challenges her clients face as owners.
Along with her responsibilities in managing all aspects of the agency, Melanie is an active benefits specialist who thrives on building long-term relationships with her clients. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston University and builds on her expertise by maintaining three advanced insurance industry professional certifications: the RHU (Registered Health Underwriter), REBC (Registered Employee Benefits Consultant) and ACBC (Advanced Chartered Benefits Consultant). Melanie holds a life and health license in several states, along with a Maryland Advisor and Property and Casualty license.
